FOFUS Scan charges ₹1,800 per hour for all 3D scanning services in Kerala — dental & jewellery, automobile & engineering, personal sculpture & religious/arts. The minimum booking is 1 hour. Figurines are priced separately from ₹999 (10cm) to ₹2,999 (30cm). No travel surcharge within Thrissur district.

Yes. We scan full vehicles (up to 4m with multi-angle stitching), panels, interiors, fuel tanks, fenders, fairings, and mirror housings. STL/OBJ output is ready for SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Blender so your fabricator can design custom body kits, seats, and brackets that fit first time. We come to your workshop anywhere in Kerala.

Yes. FOFUS Scan digitises dental plaster models and impressions into STL files compatible with Exocad, 3Shape, and DentalCAD. At ₹1,800/hour you can scan 8–10 models per session. For dental and jewellery scanning, you send the models to us and we scan them at our facility.

Yes. Our scanners handle gold, diamond, and traditional Kerala jewellery without spray. Output STL is compatible with Rhino, Matrix, 3Design, and JewelCAD. ₹1,800/hour — 8–10 jewellery pieces per session. For dental and jewellery scanning, you send the models/pieces to us and we scan them at our facility.

Yes. Our outdoor scanning setup works in direct sunlight and on dark metal surfaces without spray, so we can scan temple idols, bronze sculptures, and monuments in their original location — no relocation, no risk of damage. Perfect for heritage documentation, archival, and replica 3D printing.

FOFUS Scan provides 3D models in STL, OBJ, PLY, GLB, and USDZ formats — compatible with Geomagic, SolidWorks, Blender, Fusion 360, Exocad, 3Shape, Rhino, Matrix, 3Design, JewelCAD, and all major CAD software. Reverse-engineering CAD modelling (STL → STEP/IGES) is available on quotation.

FOFUS Scan achieves accuracy down to 0.04mm for fine-detail jewellery and dental scanning, and 0.1-0.5mm for larger objects like car panels and sculptures. Accuracy depends on the scanner used, object size, surface finish, and lighting. For jewellery and dental work we use high-resolution scanners; for automotive and engineering we use structured-light scanners with multi-angle stitching.

Scan time depends on object size and detail. Small items (jewellery, dental models): 5-15 minutes per piece. Medium objects (sculptures, parts): 20-45 minutes. Large objects (vehicles, full-body scans): 1-3 hours with multi-angle stitching. Post-processing (mesh cleanup, watertight conversion) adds 30-60 minutes. Most scans are delivered within 24-48 hours.

Yes. Reverse engineering is one of the main applications of 3D scanning. FOFUS scans the physical object, converts the mesh to a parametric CAD model (STL to STEP/IGES), and then it can be modified, reproduced, or manufactured. This is commonly used for automotive parts, legacy components with no drawings, jewellery duplication, and product improvement. Reverse-engineering CAD modelling is available on quotation.

3D scanning converts a physical object into a digital 3D model — it's the input process. 3D printing converts a digital 3D model into a physical object — it's the output process. Together they form a complete cycle: scan an existing object → modify the digital model → 3D print a new or improved version. Yes, 3D scanning is completely safe. Our scanners use structured light and laser technology — non-contact, non-destructive, and radiation-free. The object is never touched or modified during scanning. We can scan delicate heritage artefacts, gold jewellery, and even people (with their consent) without any risk. No spray or coating is needed for most surfaces.

FOFUS Scan does not rent scanners directly, but we offer mobile on-site scanning across Kerala at ₹1,800/hour — which is often more cost-effective than renting. FOFUS Scan handles: jewellery and gold ornaments, dental plaster models and impressions, car and bike panels, engineering parts and prototypes, human figurines and busts, temple idols and religious sculptures, architectural elements, heritage artefacts, and mechanical components. Objects from 5mm to 4 metres can be scanned. Dark, shiny, or transparent surfaces may require a matte spray coating for best results.
